Lab-grown diamonds are created in a laboratory using highly controlled technological processes that replicate the extreme conditions under which natural diamonds form deep within the Earth.
There are two primary methods used to synthesize gem-quality lab-grown diamonds: High-Pressure/High-Temperature (HPHT) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). Both methods start with a tiny piece of diamond, called a diamond seed, which serves as a template for the new crystal growth.
